JAMES MADISON UNIVERSITY

My four years at James Madison University have been some of the best memories, from joining a sorority, to football games, to long study days in the College of Business; my experience here has been nothing but exciting, and I would love to take you through some of my favorite memories!

WOMEN IN BUSINESS

I was involved in Women in Business at James Madison University beginning my sophomore year, and it became one of the most impactful parts of my college experience. The organization gave me opportunities to grow professionally through networking, mentorship, and hands-on experiences while building genuine friendships with other driven women.

As Marketing Chair for Women in Business, I managed the organization’s social media presence by creating consistent, engaging content across Instagram and LinkedIn. My role focused on growing our reach to attract new members and strengthening connections with our alumni network. I also worked closely with the executive board to support events and initiatives, contributing wherever needed to help the organization run smoothly.

WIB X AMA

Being a part of Women in Business gave me the opportunity to speak on a leadership panel at an American Marketing Association event. I had the chance to represent JMU Women in Business alongside other student leaders from the College of Business, where we talked about what leadership really looks like as students, taking initiative, supporting others, and collaborating across organizations. It was a great experience to hear different perspectives and see how each group plays a role in building a more connected business community at JMU.

ALPHA DELTA PI

Being a member of Alpha Delta Pi was one of the most meaningful parts of my college experience. I was surrounded by a group of driven, supportive women who were actively involved on campus while prioritizing personal growth and academics. Through our philanthropy, we supported the Ronald McDonald House through fundraising events and initiatives benefiting families in need.

Within the chapter, I also served on the nominating committee for multiple elections, working closely with executive leadership to evaluate candidates and help select leaders who reflected our values. This experience strengthened my ability to think critically, collaborate with others, and approach important decisions with fairness and integrity.

JMU FOOTBALL

JMU football has been one of the best parts of my college experience, especially because it’s something I’ve always shared with my family. My dad is also a JMU grad, so I grew up watching games and seeing how much he looked forward to coming back to campus. Being able to experience those same traditions as a student, from game days with friends to a Sun Belt Championship, has made my time at JMU even more special. It’s a simple connection, but one that has made this place feel like home.
